It was an interesting day watching the movies for class. I had two points that I thought about while watching. One was my reaction to the films, and the other was the reaction of the original audience that the movies were made for. I must admit my point of view was not very enthusiastic. The films were very dull and meaningless to me. It almost seemed like they were really boring youtube clips that someone forced me to watch. There was hardly a storyline and there were rarely any characters that were entertaining. I would have a real hard time watching these movies for a second time.
Now on the other hand, I couldn’t help but think about the original audience for which these movies were created. These were definitely the most amazing thing ever seen to that audience. They had never seen all the different pieces of art combined in such a way, it was absolutely amazing. For us we get excited when a new movie comes out, I can only imagine the excitement they had when they were going to not only their first movie, but the first movie ever created. Had to be an amazing experience.
